Our Privacy Policy explains how Vibez.io collects, uses, and discloses information about you. The terms “Vibez.io,” “we,” “us,” and “our” include Vibez Tech, Inc. and our affiliates. We use the terms “member,” “you,” and “your” to mean any person using our Platform or attending related events, including any organization or person using the Platform on an organization’s behalf. This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of information about members and other individuals that we collect when you use our “Platform,” which means any website, application, or services we offer, or when you communicate with us. For information about choices you may have under this policy, please see “Your Choices” below. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the information that you may provide to third parties, such as members, and others with whom you may share information about yourself. We collect information that you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information that you provide when you create an account, choose interests or communities, fill out a form, or communicate with us. The types of information that we may collect include identifiers, such as your name, username, password, email address, postal address, and phone number; payment and commercial information, such as payment method data and purchases, if any; demographic information and any other personal information that you choose to provide, such as photos, choices of interests, gender, date of birth, communities, and professional or employment-related information, including your role, company, and years of experience. Certain information about yourself, such as gender and date of birth, is optional to provide. Your choice of communities is also optional, but we are required to process this information in order to administer your account, and to indicate that you are a member of the communities that you join.
On occasion, the information that you give us when you join a community may imply information about your beliefs, political views, health conditions, or your sexual identity. This, and other kinds of sensitive information, is given special protection in accordance with applicable law. Posting personal or sensitive information about others without their permission is against our Community Guidelines.

We use the information we collect to operate, improve, promote, and protect Vibez.io and our Platform; to communicate with you; and to personalize content.
We may use information about you to provide, maintain, and improve our Platform, including to process transactions and develop new products and services; display information about you, such as your list of interests on your profile; personalize the Platform; monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities; detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, abuse, and other illegal activities, and protect the rights, property, or safety of Vibez.io and others; and perform accounting and administrative tasks and enforce or manage legal claims.
We may use information about you to respond to your comments, questions, and requests and provide customer service; communicate with you, in accordance with your account settings, about products, services, and events; notify you about communications of other members; and send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, support, and administrative messages.
We may use information about you to provide content, features, or sponsorships that match member profiles or interests; deliver more relevant advertising on and off the Platform; facilitate contests and other promotions; send you marketing communications, subject to applicable law; and carry out any other purposes described to you at the time we collected the information.
If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a specific legal basis for processing personal data, our legal basis will depend on the type of information and the context in which we collect it. We process information to provide our services under our Terms of Service; where it is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights (for example, fraud prevention, security, and improving our Platform); on the basis that you manifestly make sensitive information public or with your explicit consent; and where we have a legal obligation to do so.
We may share information with members or social media services depending on how you engage with the Platform; with our third-party service providers; with analytics and advertising partners; with authorities to comply with legal obligations and protect our rights; with an affiliate or successor entity as part of a corporate transaction; among our affiliated companies; and when you direct us to share your information. We may also share information in a manner that does not identify you, such as de-identified or aggregated information.
We share some of the information that we collect by displaying it on our Platform according to your member profile and account settings. Some information, such as username, is always public. Some information, such as interests, is public by default but can be hidden. Some information, such as community memberships, will always be visible to other members of that community. Information that is public on our Platform is visible to others on and off the Platform.
We may use service providers to assist with business purposes such as payment processing, email transmission, surveys or contests, data hosting, managing our ads, and technical and customer support. These service providers may access, process, and store information about you on our behalf for the purposes we authorize, subject to confidentiality obligations.
We may share information with others, or allow others to use technologies that collect information about your use of the Platform and other services, to provide analytics and to serve ads for Vibez.io. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for purposes of targeted advertising, as described in Section 5 below.
We may access, preserve, and disclose information about you to government entities and other third parties, including the content of messages, if we believe disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or audits, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of, or prevent fraud or abuse of, Vibez.io or others.
The Platform may offer social sharing features that let you share actions you take on our Platform with third-party services, and vice versa. The third-party services' use of the information will be governed by their privacy policies, and we do not control that use.
If Vibez.io is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of our assets, information about you may be shared, sold, or transferred as part of that transaction.
We may de-identify or aggregate information about you and share it freely. We may also share information about you with your consent or at your direction, for example with event sponsors and other community members when you RSVP for and participate in an event.
Vibez.io is based in the United States. Information about you will be transferred to, and processed in, the U.S. and countries other than the country in which you are resident. These countries may have different data protection laws. We have taken appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to require that your information remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We employ technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, or disposal, both during transmission and once we receive it. We train employees on our data privacy policies, authorize access on a need-to-know basis, and use firewalls and vulnerability testing. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Where you have a password, you are responsible for keeping it complex, secure, and confidential.
We may temporarily deactivate your account if you have not logged in for six months or more; you may contact us to reactivate it. We retain certain information so you can use our Platform, to honor your communication preferences, to provide refunds, to maintain accurate accounting for community organizers, to understand traffic, to detect and prevent abuse, and to comply with legal, tax, or accounting requirements. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your information, we will delete, de-identify, or anonymize it in accordance with applicable law.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to information that you have provided or made accessible to third parties, such as other members, community organizers, and network administrators. Disclosure of information to these third parties is subject to the relevant third party’s privacy policy. Members are directly responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws for the information they obtain and process.
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will provide notice by publishing the most current version and revising the date at the top of this page, and may provide additional notice such as by email or a prominent notice on our Platform.
You may update or correct your account information by editing your account settings or by sending a request to hello@vibez.io. You may deactivate your account, request deletion of your information, and choose what information others see about you using the Privacy Settings in your account.
We collect information about your location to make better recommendations and improve our Platform. You can prevent this by changing the settings on your device, or, on our website, by managing cookies. Note that our Platform or its features may no longer function properly if you change these settings.
We may use and allow others to use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers, and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Platform and other services. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the sharing or processing of your personal information for purposes of targeted advertising.
You can control the messages you receive from Vibez.io and other members by selecting the unsubscribe link in the message, or by adjusting the communication preferences in your account settings. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional messages, such as those about your account.
You can tag photos of yourself and others. We will notify you when another member tags your account in a photo. You can remove tags by selecting “untag” next to your name, and report inappropriate content to us. You are responsible for obtaining permission from non-members before posting a photo of them.
You may have the right to request that Vibez.io delete, amend, or provide you access to your information; to opt out of the sharing or processing of your personal information for targeted advertising; to opt out of receiving our promotional messages; and to complain to your local data protection authority. Note that Vibez.io is a controller of your information. Other members, such as community organizers and network administrators, may also act as controllers of your information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, although some functionality may change or no longer be available.
During the preceding 12 months, Vibez.io has collected, used, and shared the categories of personal information described in this Privacy Policy. We do not consider the ways we share your information to be a “sale” for purposes of California law. California residents have rights to access, correct, and delete their personal information and to request transparency about our privacy practices. To exercise your rights, please see Section 6. We may verify your request by asking for additional information, and we will not charge you different prices or provide a different quality of service for exercising your rights, unless permitted by law.
