Approve or decline members

Updated 2026-06-15

When someone asks to join your community, they land as a pending member for you to review. You'll see them on your project home and in the full members list.

Find pending members

Open Community → Members. Pending members stand out with a yellow dot. (The most recent ones also wait for you on your project home.)

Approve, decline, or hold

Three ways to act, depending on where you are:

  • On mobile — swipe a pending member's card: right to approve, left to decline.
  • On desktop — hover the row and a strip slides in: Decline · Hold · Approve.
  • In the member's detail — open them and use the Approve, Hold, or Decline buttons.

After you tap, a short countdown (about ten seconds) runs before it commits — plenty of time to tap to cancel if you change your mind. Approved members turn active (green); declined turn red.

What "Hold" means

Hold parks a pending member without saying yes or no — handy when you're waiting on something. They stay set aside until you come back and Release them (which approves) or decline.

The statuses

  • Pending — waiting on your review.
  • On hold — parked by you.
  • Active — approved, in your community.
  • Declined — not approved.

You can change someone's status later from their detail — set an active member on hold, deactivate, or reactivate a declined one.

Doing it in bulk

Reviewing a lot at once? Filter the list (for example, to pending), then open Actions and choose Approve all or Hold all. Bulk actions apply to everyone matching your current filter and confirm right away — no countdown.
