Send an announcement

Updated 2026-07-21

An announcement is a push notification you send to everyone holding a ticket to your event. Use it for door times, a stage change, weather, or any "read this before you come" message. You write it, publish it, and Vibez pushes it to your attendees — then shows you how many read it.

Write one

  1. Open the event and go to the More menu → Announce (or the Announcements page).
  2. Tap + New. A panel opens with two fields:
    • Title — the headline, e.g. Doors open at 9.
    • Message — the body. Format it, and drop in an image if you want.
  3. Tap Create draft. This saves it — it does not send yet. Drafts are yours to edit or delete freely.

Publish it

Open the draft and tap Publish & notify attendees. You'll get a confirmation first, because publishing sends the push right away and can't be undone.

Once published, an announcement is locked — you can't edit or delete it. So proofread the draft first.

If announcements are paid for your event

On some events each announcement has a per-recipient price. When that's the case, the confirmation shows the cost before you send:

  • Cost: recipients × price = total, deducted from your event balance.
  • If your balance is short, the confirm button is disabled and you'll see how much you need — top up before publishing.

Free events don't show any of this — you just publish.

See who read it

Every published announcement tracks delivery and reads:

  • On the list, each one shows a sent count and a read count with its read-rate. A low read rate is flagged so you can tell what landed.
  • Open one for the full picture — sent date, recipients, reads, and an activity log.

If your event charges for announcements, a stats strip at the top totals sent, read, price per notification, and total cost across everything you've sent.
