How can we help? / Getting started

Key terms

Updated 2026-06-15

A quick glossary so the dashboard reads the same way everywhere. We keep one word per idea — these are those words.

People

  • Buyer — someone who buys a ticket or pays at your event. The person on the other side of a sale.
  • Member — someone who joined your community. Membership is how people belong to you between events. They're members, not followers.
  • Ambassador — a promoter who shares your event with a tracked link or code and earns commission on what they bring in.

Selling

  • Product — anything you sell: a ticket, a bar item, a membership. When it grants event entry, it's a Ticket.
  • Ticket — a product that gets a buyer into your event. An event can have several ticket types at different prices.
  • Promo code — a code that applies a discount at checkout. This is how you run discounts.
  • Sold out — a ticket type with nothing left to sell. The buyer sees it's gone; you can add more if you want.

Access

  • Access mode — an event's type: Private (link only), Members-only (your members), or Public (open to all). This is about who can get in — the kind of party (Concert, Festival) is a tag, not a type.
  • Scanner — the app your door team uses to check people in by scanning a ticket or tapping a wristband.
  • NFC wristband — a tap-to-enter band. One tap gets a guest through the door, and it can also hold their cashless balance.

Money

  • Balance — the cashless money a guest loads onto their wristband or wallet to spend at your bars.
  • Cashless — paying by tap instead of cash or card. Guests top up a balance, then tap to buy.
  • Payout — money moving from your Vibez sales to your bank account, on a schedule.
  • Vibez Capital — event financing from Vibez: funding up front, repaid from your sales.

Growth

  • Channel — a tracked source for sales, so you can see where buyers came from (a story link, an ambassador, an ad).
  • Pixel — a small tracking tag (like the Meta pixel) you add so ad platforms can measure who bought after seeing your ad.
  • Group — a way to organize members — by tier, or a custom group you make yourself.

Still unsure about a word? Reach out and we'll explain it in plain language.
