Scan tickets at the door
Updated 2026-06-16
Guests get in by having their ticket scanned at the door. You don't do this from here — your team uses the Vibez Scanner app on their phone, set up once per scanner (see add a scanner).
How a scan goes
- The scanner opens the Vibez Scanner for your event and points the camera at the guest's ticket QR code (or taps their NFC wristband, if you use them).
- The app shows a result right away.
- For a valid ticket, the scanner taps Use Ticket to admit the guest — that marks it used.
What the results mean
- Valid ticket (green) — good to go. Shows the guest's name and ticket; tap Use Ticket to let them in.
- Ticket used (blue) — checked in. The ticket is now marked used and can't be used again.
- Not valid (pink) — can't be admitted. Usual reasons: the ticket was already used (it shows when), it's outside its valid window, it's for a different event, or a brief network error — try the scan again.
- Connected (gold) — an NFC wristband was linked to the guest (when NFC connect is on), so they can tap to enter and pay cashless.
Set the door up first
A few event switches shape scanning — find them in event settings under At the door:
- Dynamic QR rotates each ticket's code every 30 seconds, so a screenshot can't be reused.
- NFC connect lets scanners bind a wristband to a guest; NFC check reads a wristband's person, membership, and balance.
Every scan is logged under the scanner's name, so you can watch the door move in real time.
