Choose your access mode

An event's type is its access mode — who can buy and get in. You set it when you create an event, and change it anytime from Edit.

The three modes

• Public — anyone with the event link can buy. Use it for open, on-sale events you're promoting widely.
• Members-only — only your community members can buy. Use it to reward belonging and to grow membership — people join to get access.
• Private — anyone can place an order, but you approve each one. Use it for guest lists, vetted entry, or invite-only nights.

Type is about access, not genre

Type only answers who can get in. The kind of party — concert, festival, club night — is a tag, not a type. So a Public event and a Members-only event can both be "festivals".

Per-ticket access, too

Beyond the event's mode, each ticket has its own access: Public, Members, or Secret (only reachable with a code or direct link). That means you can run a members-only or hidden tier inside a public event — for example a public show with a secret VIP ticket unlocked by a code.

Pick the event mode that matches how you sell, then use per-ticket access for the exceptions.
